Pregame

Fans took their support to Carolina on Sunday, travelling from all over the country to cheer on the Falcons against the Panthers.

Game Highlights

CB Desmon Trufant intercepts a pass thrown by Panthers QB Cam Newton in the second quarter.

TE Tony Gonzalez catches a 17-yard pass from QB Matt Ryan to cut the Panthers' lead to 14-10 in the second quarter.

CB Robert Alford intercepts Cam Newton at the end of the second quarter, marking the Falcons' second interception of the game on the Panthers QB.

Postgame

Despite a disappointing loss to the Panthers, DE Jonathan Massaquoi said there's growth and lessons to be learned with every loss.

Despite some solid plays throughout the game, the Falcons were unable to put them all together, something Desmond Trufant was a big factor to their loss Sunday.

Although Paul Worrilow put up an impressive 19 tackles against the Panthers, the linebacker said he's solely focused on the team's outcome instead of his individual performance.

After playing three solid quarters against the Panthers, Tony Gonzalez said the Falcons' finish to the game was a 'disaster' and urged the importance of making adjustments to play good football throughout the entire game.

Although the 34-10 score might look otherwise, the Falcons kept the game close through the fourth quarter and then let it slip. The defense also had one of their best third quarters of the season, a big indicator that the team's youth movement had some growth and took a big step forward.

The Falcons next face the Seahawks on Sunday at the Georgia Dome.
